Swarm Collection

Honey bee colonies reproduce by dividing into two colonies.   One of the colonies, headed by a new Queen, remains at the original site.   The other colony, headed by the old Queen, leaves and moves to a new location - this is the swarm, one of nature's impressive sights (and sounds).   On it's way to their new home the swarm often stops temporarily for a few hours and this presents a good opportunity to collect them.

Swarms can be intimidating so it's best to contact a beekeeper who can remove them safely.   If you need a swarm removing locally, call me on 07710 557931 and I will endeavour to collect it - there is no charge for service.
